Rapper Ace Nh asks judge to sentence him to capital punishment over pregnant girlfriend's death, tells lawyers to respect his wishes

Florida rapper Billy Bennett Adams III, popularly known as Ace Nh, has written to a judge requesting capital punishment over the 2023 incident that claimed the life of his pregnant girlfriend, Alana Sims.

In a handwritten letter dated October 12, 2026, the 25-year-old rapper told Hillsborough County Judge Mark R. Wolfe that he wanted his lawyers to respect his decision and not challenge the jury's recommendation.

“I don’t have an issue with capital punishment and I have asked my lawyers to respect my wishes when we go to court,” he wrote.

Adams was convicted in connection with the incident involving 22-year-old Sims, who was five months pregnant with his child when she lost her life on January 30, 2023. Her two-year-old child was reportedly found inside her parked car.

Prosecutors argued that Adams did not want to have another child and had discussed his intentions with another woman he was dating.

During the penalty phase, the jury voted 8–4 in favour of capital punishment under Florida law.

Although his lawyers previously challenged the application of the state's revised sentencing law, Adams has now asked the court to follow the jury's recommendation.
