London’s Metropolitan Police are investigating two additional allegations of defilement against Russell Brand, including one from a woman who says she was 16 when he assaulted her.
The force confirmed the investigation on Thursday, November 5, according to The Independent. One complainant alleges that Brand arranged for a car to collect her from school when she was 16 and subjected her to defilement during subsequent meetings.
The new allegations remain under investigation and are separate from the offences for which Brand was convicted on Thursday, November 5. He was found guilty of one count of defilement and three counts of assault involving defilement and was taken into custody after being denied bail.
The Metropolitan Police also released recordings of interviews conducted between 2023 and 2025. In the footage, Brand acknowledged having lived a “very promiscuous life” but denied engaging in any non-consensual intimate activity.
Following the verdict, Bar Council chairwoman Kirsty Brimelow said Brand could face “between six and nine years” in prison. The sentence will be determined by the judge. Brand remains in custody ahead of sentencing on Monday, November 9.
