Nigerian man arrested with cocaine and drug packaging equipment in Thailand

Police in Phuket, Thailand have arrested a 36-year-old Nigerian man on suspicion of possessing cocaine for distribution.

 

The Cherng Talay Police arrested the suspect on Thursday, November 5, 2026. 

 

Officers seized approximately 7.3 grams of cocaine (a Category 2 narcotic), 257 plastic bags believed to be used for packaging, two digital scales, two mobile phones, one sedan, and other related items.

 

The suspect has been charged with possessing Category 2 narcotics (cocaine) for the purpose of sale without a license. 

 

He was handed over to investigators for further legal proceedings.
