Paris Saint-Germain winger Kvicha Kvaratskhelia is set to undergo surgery after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), the French club have confirmed.
The 25-year-old Georgian international was injured in Tuesday's 4-2 home win over Barcelona.
The European champions said Kvaratskhelia will have an operation "in the coming days" but gave no timeline for his recovery.
The injury raises serious concerns over whether Kvaratskhelia will play again this season, but he will definitely miss PSG's Champions League trip to Aston Villa on December 8.
ACL injuries typically require a recovery period of at least six months.
The 25-year-old scored 10 goals and provided six assists as PSG defended their European crown last season, with his form also earning him a spot on the shortlist for the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
The club also confirmed Ousmane Dembele and Marquinhos will be absent for a "few weeks". Dembele limped off with a left thigh injury, while Marquinhos injured his right thigh.
The French club's statement says both players have thigh injuries and "will remain under treatment for the next few weeks".
