Nigerian businessman and political commentator Isaac Fayose has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing it as the worst in Nigeria's history and alleging widespread public dissatisfaction across the country.
Speaking during an appearance on News Central TV, Fayose accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of suppressing opposition parties and obstructing their campaign activities ahead of the upcoming general elections.
"This is the worst government in the history of our country. You don't even need to ask me, go to the street and ask," Fayose said
"Over 67 percent of Nigerians have been crying since this government came." Comparing the current administration to that of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Fayose asserted that economic conditions under the present government have worsened significantly. He further claimed that ongoing political pressures could result in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) missing the presidential ballot for the first time since Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999.
"Before, we thought that Buhari was shege, but this one is shege pro-max," Fayose said. "This is the first time since 1999 that PDP will not be on the ballot." Fayose also accused the administration of restricting opposition movements, citing instances where opposition figures were allegedly denied entry or permissions to hold political events in states like Benue and Akwa Ibom.
He claimed the president is avoiding direct campaign engagements with voters due to a lack of achievements to present.
