The Zamfara State NSCDC Commandant, Sani Mustapha, explained that the operation was carried out in accordance with established procedures and in collaboration with other security agencies. Following the arrest, Mustapha directed that the case be transferred to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for further investigation and appropriate legal action.
The command reaffirmed its commitment to tackling human trafficking and other criminal activities, assuring the public that a thorough investigation would be conducted and those found culpable would face prosecution where sufficient evidence exists. The NSCDC also urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information to support efforts to combat crime across the state.
