A Nigerian woman, Confy Pere's Eneife, the wife of a former Chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC Central Zone in Bayelsa State, Comrade Pere Ineife, has broken her silence amid her husband's paternity dispute with another lady, Catherine Japhet.
Catherine had alleged that she had a relationship with Pere in 2024, became pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy.
She claimed Pere initially accepted responsibility and provided financial support after she agreed to keep the child secret from his wife.
However, a DNA test dated September 17, 2026, from Lynx DNA Laboratories indicated that Pere is not the biological father of the child.
Catherine disputed the validity of the test, claiming samples were handled outside a standard hospital setting.
According to a statement issued by Pere's lawyer, Ebisintei Mathias on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, Catherine was dissatisfied with the outcome of the initial test, and requested a further DNA test.
“Consequently, our client approached a court of competent jurisdiction, which, upon consideration of the application before it, made an order for a DNA test. The test was subsequently conducted pursuant to that court order, and the result equally excluded our client as the biological father of the child,” the lawyer stated.
Reacting on Friday, November 5, after the court-ordered DNA test result confirmed that her husband is not the biological father of Catherine's child, Confy slammed those who mocked her during her travail, saying she doesn't need their sympathy now the truth is finally out.
Confy insisted that she won't hide her head in shame over husband's wrongdoings, saying other women's husbands fathers and pastors also cheat on their wives.
“Why are women the problem of women? It starts with, “Na the wife I pity sha. Poor woman.” “Oh, make God help her.” Then comes all the unnecessary sympathy, comments and stories,” she wrote.
"I also wanted to come out to say I don’t need anybody’s sympathy. When I needed it most, was when I lost my twin boys and all of una abandoned me, where were you? (Story for another day.)
"Una dragged me up and down, but my decision to remain silent was not because I wanted to. It was simply the right thing to do at the time.( so they said) to think that ℹ even had a church program on going so it felt like I was the happiest person in the world ask people way know me or they close to me.
"I believe I have posted pictures of my family before now even on our anniversary. So, why is it suddenly a problem that I’m posting myself or my family?
"I no fit hide my head in shame. I have never played the role of God in anybody’s life. No be me born pikin wey no get papa.
"I refuse to carry the shame for another person’s wrongdoing. I will not accept responsibility for what I did not do.
"And please, Auntie, we’re still waiting. We hope you’ll come and give us Part 2 of My Story, My Truth. When y’all see a manipulator you should know one.
"Hope una still dey cook food give am o, make she fit come tell us how the DNA wey she requested from court go.
"He cheated, and so does your husbands, your fathers your boyfriends and even your pastors. Na just say their own never come outside. Wait small! Fools.
"Just know that this time, I’m ready, with my full chest. I will no longer allow anybody to turn another person’s wrongdoing into my shame.
