London’s Metropolitan Police have released interview footage showing Russell Brand denying allegations against him before his conviction on Thursday, November 5, for defilement.
The recordings, released on Thursday, November 5, cover police interviews conducted between 2023 and 2025. In them, Brand acknowledged having lived a “very promiscuous life” but insisted he had “never engaged in any non-consensual s3xu@l activity”. He also challenged a 2023 documentary that detailed allegations against him, describing it as “defamatory and fictitious”.
Brand claimed the publicity surrounding the programme had led to past consensual encounters being “invented or reimagined” as misconduct. When investigators questioned him about specific allegations, he repeatedly said he had “nothing further to add”.
The footage was released on the day Brand was convicted of four offences. He was acquitted of two other rape charges and a charge of attempted indecent assault. Brand was denied bail following the verdict and will remain in custody until his sentencing on Monday. The judge warned that he faces a substantial prison sentence.
