FC Barcelona have officially confirmed that club captain Raphinha will sign a new contract with the Spanish giants, extending his stay at the club until 2030.
“This Thursday 5 November will see first team player Raphael Dias Belloli ‘Raphinha’ sign a contract extension through to 30 June 2030,” the club statement read.
“It is set to take place at 12.00pm CET in the office of president Laporta, before he later speaks to the media in the Commercial Office.”
“The Brazilian player is set to continue to wear the blaugrana jersey for at least a further three and a half seasons.”
Raphinha’s renewal comes after the Brazilian international has made an excellent start to the new season after being named the first captain.
The 29-year-old superstar has already racked up a tally of 19 goals so far this season: 15 in La Liga and four in the Champions League.
Raphinha joined FC Barcelona from Leeds United in July 2022 in a deal worth an initial €58 million (£49 million), potentially rising to €67 million (£58 million) with add-ons.
