NAFDAC uncovers Lagos shop where expired energy drinks and wines are revalidated

The National Food and Drug, Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has uncovered a suspected counterfeit production facility at Zamfara Plaza, BBA Trade Fair Complex, Lagos State, today, October 13.

Two suspects were arrested at the scene while allegedly revalidating energy drinks and popular wine and whisky brands.

The video shared by the agency showed revalidated cans of enegry drinks, wines, and whiskies.

A NAFDAC agent who recorded the video alleged that the suspects liase with bartenders at different clubs and lounges and sell the revalidated products to them.
