A Facebook user, Peaceful Egefe has shared photos he took in Akeddei community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, allegedly with a high number of children and teenage mothers.
Calling for government intervention, Egefe claimed that girls as young as 14 years old in the community are already mothers of two or three children.
“Akeddei community in Sagbama LGA has the most populated number of children, Omo 14 year old girl self in Akeddei community don born like two to three children, children full the community no were to drop legs self. Omo this community needs serious government intervention,” he wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, October 12, 2026.
Egefe hails from another community in Bayelsa State.
