My body won’t carry pregnancy - Nigerian lady hits back at critics judging her for choosing to be child-free
A Nigerian-Italian woman living in the UK, Marvis Ishanqueen, has hit out at critics judging her for choosing to be child-free.

Addressing them in a Facebook post on Sunday, October 25, Marvis stated that she has every right to her choices and refuses to debate her reproductive freedom with anyone.

She emphasized that she owns her body and will decide what it can and cannot do, declaring that she will not carry a pregnancy as long as she lives.

She added that if she were to find out she was pregnant today, she would immediately book an appointment to terminate it the following day.

"Your head must have been vigorously shaken as a baby if you think that I, Mavis IshanQueen, will stoop low to discuss my reproductive rights with you," she wrote.

"As a citizen of Italy and permanent resident of England, I have the right to decide whether I want to continue with a pregnancy within the time frame designated by the law.

"I own my body, and I decide what it can do or can’t do, and I have decided that my body won’t carry any pregnancy as long as I live.

"I don’t owe you any explanations, and I won’t apologise for my choices either.

"So, to repeat what I said in my previous post: if I find out that I’m pregnant today, I’m booking an appointment tomorrow to get it flushed out.

“When it’s your turn, feel free to carry the pregnancy to full term and deal with whatever consequences come with it."
