I developed high blood pressure at 20 - Nigerian woman shares her difficult marital journey
A Nigerian woman, Obiano Chinelo Lucy, has shared her painful marital journey, revealing that she walked away from her marriage at just 20 years old after developing high blood pressure.

Sharing photos taken before, during and after her marriage, she admitted that her parents initially warned her against the relationship but she was “blinded by love.”

Setting the record straight against claims that she was thrown out, Chinelo made it clear that she chose to walk out the same way she walked in.

She also fired back at critics, stating that some men claim she was dumped simply because their egos cannot handle a woman choosing to leave a marriage on her own terms.

“My journey before marriage and after marriage! Point of correction, I walked out of it as a 20yr old girl. At 20yrs, marriage made me develop high blood pressure. Let it be on record that I survived it. My parents warned me, but love blinded me. I tasted and I saved my life,” she wrote.

"No one throw me out, I walked in and still walked out of it.. go and ask. Regardless I will still marry again.

“Some men hate it so much when a woman leaves a marriage, to suit their ego they will tag it she was thr0w out of marriage, she slept with an0ther man or dis respected her husband.

"Point of correction " I took that difficult decision that even y0ur mother couldn't take" and stood by it. I was the one who fell in love and still said “ I no love again," she wrote.

“This is me when I was married via Single. If e reach your sister turn, use her as charity case to your in-law. Not me.”
