A Nigerian pastor, Alozie Francis has mourned a close friend who died in a motor accident alongside his wife and their 18-year-old son.
The deceased, Mr Ibe Ogbuji, Njideka Ogbuji and Great Ibe Ogbuji, lost their lives in the auto crash which occurred on July 7, 2026.
They will be buried on Friday, 13th November 2026 in the family compound in Umuowaga village, Obuzor Asa, Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State.
Sharing their obituary in a Facebook post on Wednesday, October 21, pastor Alozie described late Ogbuji as a great source of encouragement to him and his ministry.
Despite the tragedy, he finds solace in knowing that Ogbuji lived for Jesus and touched many lives.
“This is so heartbreaking! My brother, my friend, my Deacon… Deacon Ibe. Just like that?,” he wrote.
"I wish this were not true. You were a great source of encouragement to me, my family, and the ministry. Your impact on our lives will never be forgotten. Kia! Deacon Ibe, just like that?
"Anyway, I take comfort in knowing that you lived for Jesus and touched meaningful lives while you were here on earth. Your life was a blessing, and your impact will continue to speak even in your absence.
"I pray that God will grant your soul eternal rest, together with your wife and son, in Jesus’ name.
"May Heaven comfort and strengthen your family, loved ones, and the entire members of Overcomers Life Centre in this painful moment, in Jesus’ name.
“To you reading this, may God preserve your life and save your family from this kind of heartbreaking experience, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen. Rest on, Deacon Ibe.”
