A 93-year-old disabled woman has been found de@d with a n@ked Sudanese migrant allegedly laying on top of her.
Marie-Louise was discovered n@ked on her bathroom floor in Toulouse, southern France, on Sunday, Sept. 27, after emergency services entered the home.
The bedridden woman had been unable to move by herself for months following a stroke.
Neighbours were alerted to the horror incident when they reportedly heard her screams and bangs from the house.
A 34-year-old homeless Sudanese national was arrested at the scene. Local reports have described him as an undocumented migrant.
The Toulouse prosecutor’s office said an autopsy found Marie-Louise had suffered “injuries suggestive of s£xual vi0lence” and “traumatic neck injuries consistent with asphyxi@tion”.
The incident happened around 5pm when Marie-Louise's neighbours heard chilling screams.
One recalled: “We could hear it so clearly that we thought he was right there; it didn’t occur to us that it could be coming from inside the house, reports the Sun. “We heard shouts, insults – ‘f*** your mother’ – and then sounds of blows. We never could have imagined…”
Police arrived at the scene but the door was reportedly locked from the inside.
Spare keys from the neighbours didn't seem to work either, police said. They then circled around the property to enter through the back of the house, where they spotted large amounts of bl00d on the floor and the mattress.
Marie-Louise was soon found n@ked on the floor in the bathroom. The suspect was allegedly also n@ked and laying on top of her.
One officer is reported to have been injured during the arrest.
Prosecutors said the man had a breath alcohol reading of 0.92mg per litre.
Toxicology tests are underway.
Initial findings indicate Marie-Louise suffered suspected s£xual violence as well as neck trauma consistent with asphyx!ation, according to prosecutors.
The Toulouse prosecutor’s office said the 34-year-old suspect has no prior criminal record.
One devastated neighbour said: “She was the neighborhood grandmother."
A man added: “It’s awful, she saw me born, we did her shopping for her."
