A Nigerian lady, Glory Okotie, has tackled a female doctor who criticised her choice of outfit to the hospital, claiming it was inappropriate.
Sharing her story in a Facebook post on Monday, September 28, 2026, Glory argued that a doctor's job is to treat patients, not police their clothing.
She further noted that the doctor had no right to comment on her outfit, pointing out that she herself had dreadlocks, a nose ring, hoop earrings and multiple fancy rings on her fingers.
“Went to the hospital and the doctor told me I was dressed inappropriately,” she wrote.I no talk anything because I don chop sweet yam and fish sauce and my body still dey sweet me.She then asked how I would view her if she’s dressed in a short skirt as a doctor and I told her I wouldn’t care about it because true true, wetin concern me with your mini skirt?She paused.I paused.Everybody paused.I don’t know what it is about female doctors that they try to do more than their job requirement. Wetin concern you and my skirt? I be your employee? I be your pikin? You no even respect say I be adult?You’re talking about inappropriate dressing but you carry dread for head, wear nose ring and wear hoop earrings with fancy rings on your fingers.How your own dey appropriate as a doctor but my own no dey appropriate as a visitor?
