Veteran Nollywood actor Diewait Ikpechukwu dies at 71

VeteranNollywood actor and former footballer Diewait Ikpechukwu has passed away at the age of 71. 

According to family sources, the seasoned actor died on Thursday, November 5, 2026, following a prolonged illness. 

Before transitioning into his decades-long acting career, Ikpechukwu was a professional footballer. He later became widely celebrated for his memorable roles in classic Nollywood productions, including August Meeting, Royal Palace, The Guilty, Across the River, Python King, and Ìjé Love, among others.
