Nollywood actor Kunle Afod blames jealousy and trust issues for separation from wife

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kunle Afod has opened up about the issues that contributed to his separation from his wife, Desola Afod, popularly known as Celeb Wife.

Speaking during an interview with Kasnasty Sugar, the actor attributed the breakdown of their marriage to jealousy, trust issues and allegations of unfaithfulness.

Afod suggested that suspicion in relationships could go both ways, arguing that some women find it difficult to accept certain behaviours from their husbands while engaging in actions they consider similar.

He also questioned why some women who use sex toys would condemn their husbands for doing the same.

The actor began his remarks by apologising to women, acknowledging that the demands of his career sometimes left him with little time for his family.

His comments come months after reports emerged in February 2026 that Desola had moved her belongings out of their matrimonial home, sparking reports of a separation.
