A Nigerian woman, Bella Amaka Okwuosa, has publicly announced the painful end of her marriage, saying she did everything in her power to make it work.

Sharing the news in a Facebook post on Saturday, November 7, 2026, Bella noted that it was the most painful decision she has ever made.

According to her, she had held onto hope for three years, wishing it was all just a bad dream, while fasting, praying, and apologizing repeatedly.

However, she has finally come to the painful realization that it's time to let go and move on.

In the post, she apologised to their only child, explaining that while she tried her best, she had to choose her wellbeing this time.

She appealed to the general public to respect her decision while her family makes the necessary arrangements to return the bride price to her ex-husband's family.
