2027 presidency: Tinubu lacks energy, he should go home - Peter Obi

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi has alleged that President Bola Tinubu lacks the necessary energy to continue leading the country and should step down after the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking at a town hall meeting in Calabar, Cross River State, Obi urged the electorate to choose a leader equipped with the capability, compassion, and commitment required to rebuild the nation.

"We want you to go out and help us, elect somebody who is competent, somebody who has capacity, with compassion and commitment to building another Nigeria," Obi stated.

Emphasizing the need for equal opportunity and national reform, Obi outlined his vision for the country's future.

"We want to build a country where a child of a nobody can be somebody without knowing anybody," he added.

Directly addressing the incumbent administration, Obi asserted that the president's tenure should come to a close.

"Tinubu is tired, he does not have the energy for the job, he should go home," Obi said.
