Police arrest 3 men for allegedly def!ling minors aged 10, 11 and 12 in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested four suspects for def!lement of three minors aged 10, 11 and 12. 

 

The spokesperson for the command, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, 11th October, 2026.

 

The incident occurred across Ningi, Katagum, Shira and Bauchi metropolitan between October 8 and 10, 2026.

 

“In its unrelenting efforts on the fight against s3xual and gender-based violence (SGVB) across the State, the Bauchi State Police Command has arrested four male suspects for separate offences of r@pe, defilement and s3xual exploitation of minors and a vulnerable person across Ningi, Katagum, Shira and Bauchi Metropolitan,” the statement read.

 

According to the PPRO, a 10-year-old girl was def!led by a 50-year-old neighbour in Ningi Local Government Area of the state.

 

“On 9th October, 2026 at about 1330hrs, a father,  resident of Gadar Maiwa Village, Ningi LGA, reported that his neighbour, one Musa Ibrahim alias Musa Fawa, 50 years old, deceived his 10-year-old daughter into a guinea corn farm behind their houses and def!led her,” the statement read.

 

“The victim was evacuated to General Hospital Ningi for medical examination which confirmed s3xual assault. The suspect has been arrested and has confessed to the crime.

 

"On 9th October, 2026 at about 1300hrs, a father from Unguwar Makafi, Azare, reported that one Yakubu Musa, 20 years old, of Layin Da'u Mai Itace, Azare, had previously lured his 11-year-old daughter into an empty classroom at Bakoshi Primary School, Azare, in September and October 2026 and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her. The victim was taken to General Hospital Azare for medical examination. The suspect has been arrested and has confessed to the offence.

 

"On 8th October, 2026 at about 1000hrs, a father residing st Dago Village, Shira LGA, reported at Yana Division that one Abdullahi Sule, 40 years old, of same Dago Village, had carnal knowledge of his 12-year-old daughter. Investigation revealed the suspect had lured the victim about four times with N500 each time. The victim has been rescued and taken for medical care. The suspect has been arrested.

 

In a separate incident, a 55-year-old man, identified as John Madaki, was arrested over the alleged r@pe of a 20-year-old woman with intellectual disability..

 

Habib said the woman’s parents reported on October 10 that the suspect had allegedly lured their daughter, given her N1,000 and had s3xual intercourse with her.

 

"On 10th October, 2026 at about 1235hrs, couple reported that one John Madaki, 55 years old, male of same address, lured their 20-year-old daughter who is of unsound mind, gave her N1,000 and had carnal knowledge of her. The suspect was arrested while the victim was taken to Police Clinic Bauchi for medical examination.

 

"The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni psc(+), condemns these abominable and inhuman acts in strong terms. 

 

"He has directed the immediate transfer of all cases to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Bauchi, for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.

 

"The Command reiterates its zero tolerance for s3xual and gender-based violence, especially against minors and vulnerable persons, and assures the public that justice will be served. 

 

“Members of the public, particularly parents and guardians, are urged to be vigilant over their wards and to promptly report any suspicious act to the nearest Police Station.”
