Veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Ezeonu, has raised alarm over the spike in fake food and products in circulation.
In a video shared online, Ezeonu said that the number of young people struck with kidney or liver ailment in Nigeria today has risen and that most of such cases did not emanate as a result of their unhealthy lifestyle and could be as a result of the consumption of fake medication or food.
Addressing those behind the sales of fake productions, Ezeonu warned that the desire to get rich should not becloud anyone's sense of humanity,
‘’I know we have to be rich but it should not be at the detriment of innocent lives. What would you gain when people d!e because you have to make money? It i paining me. We shouldn't be our own enemies We should value lives. If you are one of the people doing fake drugs, please stop. People are dying, Our children are dying.
Common drinks children take, we now have a lot of fake of them , children's formula, fake. I dont understand this whole thing. If you make all the money in the whole world, do you think of where your soul will go to?'' she asked
