Woman raises alarm about syndicate stealing day-old babies to sell to women with cryptic pregnancies in Rivers
A woman, Uwuma Awala, has raised the alarm about an alleged criminal syndicate that specializes in stealing day-old babies to sell to women staging cryptic pregnancies in Rivers State.

Awala disclosed this in a Facebook post on Sunday, October 4, 2026 claimed that some husbands are involved in the plot.

She advised women to demand for DNA test if they are told that their baby was born d3ad.

“There is a criminal ring in Rivers state where babies are stolen at one day old and sold to the women with staged cryptic pregnancies,” she wrote.

"Many children you see, are just stolen babies.

"Sadly, in some cases, the men are part of the plan, with their wives.

“Women, if they bring you a d3ad baby, demand for DNA test.”
