Patient’s relative stabs laboratory scientist at Ogun Federal Medical Centre

Health workers at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, Ogun State, are currently demanding justice after a Laboratory scientist simply identified as Mr Lawal, was allegedly stabbed by a patient's relative in the hospital.

The circumstances leading to the alleged stabbing, including the identity of the patient's relative involved and the condition of the laboratory scientist, were not immediately clear.

It was also unclear whether the hospital management or security agencies had taken any action over the incident.

The health workers this morning converged in the hospital premises to deliberate on the incident and the necessary steps to take to hold the patient's relative accountable for his action and prevent further attacks on any hospital staff.
