
A man has died after sustaining serious injuries when he entered a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, according to South Yorkshire Police.
Emergency services were dispatched to the attraction near Doncaster in northern England on Saturday afternoon following reports of a breach at the enclosure.
"At 1.35pm today (Saturday 10 October) we received reports of a man entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park," South Yorkshire Police said in a statement.
"Emergency services attended and sadly, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the man was pronounced dead at the scene."

Authorities confirmed that the tiger was uninjured during the incident and remained within the enclosure, adding that there is no ongoing risk posed to the general public. Specialist officers are currently supporting the deceased man's family.
The wildlife park was evacuated immediately following the attack. In an official statement, Yorkshire Wildlife Park confirmed that a serious incident had occurred at one of its tiger enclosures and that its emergency response protocols were immediately activated as staff worked alongside investigating authorities.
