Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s plans for a privacy fence at their lakeside home in the Cleveland area have drawn objections from neighbours concerned about sewer infrastructure and wildlife, according to TMZ.
A transcript of an Architectural Review Board meeting obtained by the outlet details a proposed six-foot black, powder-coated aluminium fence and extensive tree planting on the property. Representatives working on the project said the fence would sit approximately two feet inside the property boundary to avoid sewer lines.

Neighbour Katherine Bolton questioned whether the proposed trees would be planted far enough from an ageing sewer line. She also raised concerns about the property’s future ownership. “This applicant may decide to sell her house next year, move on and buy another house,” Bolton said. Residents also cited the area’s deer population, expressing concern that an animal could become impaled on a fence post.
Cleveland.com first reported the dispute and said the Bratenahl board approved the privacy fence after hearing neighbours’ concerns. According to TMZ, Swift and Kelce married at Madison Square Garden in July. Kelce has since returned to the NFL season, helping the Kansas City Chiefs begin with a 4-0 record.
