A bride has shared how she cried on her wedding day because she did not look how she wanted to look.
Amid the conversations about Deeper Life Church rules for brides' and the approved wedding gown, Beloveth Williams took to Facebook to share the dress that was approved for her on her wedding day.
She then called for honest conversations to be had about brides' wedding dresses and why the rules are in place.

She wrote: 'I cried on my wedding day. Yes, I cried.
'I remember seeing myself all dressed up and thinking, this is not exactly how I wanted to look on my wedding day.
'If you’ve been around Deeper Life for a while, you understand that there are certain standards around dressing. There is a structure, and there are things that are allowed and things that are not.
'And for me, I knew where I stood.
'I am a leader in the church, and I believe that wherever you choose to stay, you should be willing to do it properly. So even though there were things I would have personally preferred, I chose to honour the standards I had committed myself to.'
Beloveth said that why she kept to the rules because of her personal conviction, other bride's may not be so eager to do so and she called for the church to explain why the standard for brides has changed.
She added: 'And that is why I’ve been watching this whole conversation about the Deeper Life wedding gown.
'Honestly, I understand why people are talking.
'If you have spent years being taught a particular standard, and suddenly you see something that doesn’t look like what you have always known, naturally, you will have questions.
'But then again; we must understand where to draw the line in questioning.
'I see people bringing out pictures from years ago saying, “See what people wore then.”
'And I’m like… are we really comparing that time to this time?
'Things change. People change. Even within the church, how certain things are communicated or practised can change over time.
'But at the same time, I don’t think we should dismiss the questions people are asking.
'Because if the standard has changed, people deserve to understand what changed and why.
'And maybe that is the real conversation. Not “Who is right?” Not “Who should we drag?”
'But what exactly is the standard today, and how do we navigate that standard across different generations?
'Because, note this;- a new generation is coming; yet unborn, with more questions.
'We are all in this Deeper Life space, but we have not all experienced it at the same time.
'I made my choice on my wedding day. I knew the standards I had chosen to live by, and I decided to honour them, even when it wasn’t exactly what I would have chosen for myself.
'That was my conviction.
'And someone else may have a different experience.
'So honestly, I think this is one of those conversations where we can acknowledge both sides without rushing to pick one.
'Because maybe this isn’t really about one wedding gown.
'Maybe it’s about standards, change, convictions and how we navigate all four.'

By God's grace, I have read the Bible. This white wedding of a practice is not in the Bible. It seems to be a white man's culture. I'm not talking about religion here, but white wedding is just a show.
