"Big weddings put pressure on couples and on the marriage" Actress Ruth Kadiri says as she advices couples

Actress Ruth Kadiri-Ezerika has spoken about the pressures that a big wedding places on a couple and also on their marriage.

The actress stated that many marriages fail because of the pressures they place on themselves to have a big wedding.

She pointed out that people have multiple occasion, starting from the engagement party, to the traditional wedding, court wedding, church wedding, and this can take a toll on the relationship.

She stated that all of that is not necessary and young people can take away the pressure by just having an intimate ceremony with just a few close family members.

She said she had such a wedding and she is still married after 7 years, whereas some who had a big wedding are separated after just two months.

She stated that, considering her career path, she has been able to have a successful marriage and she attributed this to having a small wedding.

She also said many are suffering infertility in their marriages because of what someone did to them spiritually during their big wedding.

The actress also spoke against the pressure society places on people to be financially successful, especially on first born children.

She called out parents against putting pressures on their children to make it big and start bringing money home.

Ruth stated that people should be allowed to define success for themselves and that for some people that may mean just sleeping, waking up, and loving on their children, without having to work.

She said that the pressures to succeed has to change because it is doing damage to a lot of people.
