Pounding fufu not yam. Ghanaians don't joke when it comes to funerals, that's the most important occasion in Ghana society, as they believe it's (funeral) the last opportunity to honor a dear friend or family member. Funerals are more expensive than weddings in this country and every Friday is an owambe.
I'm still at a loss to why people go to great lengths, even performing unimaginable rituals to honour their dead-loved-ones? Is it just to please them or out of fear? Eccl. 9: 5, 6

Its done with chemical, they use chemical to make the bone flexible and then after putting the corpse in a desired state, they use chemical again to make the bones stiff, then when they want to put her in the casket, they again use chemical making the bone flexible again. Its a normal occurrence in Ghana.
