Boxing star Chris Eubank Jr offers to step in if Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fails to occur (video)

Middleweight and super-middleweight contender Chris Eubank Jr. has thrown his hat into the heavyweight ring, offering to step in as a replacement if the undisputed bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua collapses.

Amid mounting speculation surrounding contractual and promotional friction between both camps, Eubank posted a video showing himself stepping onto the scales at 206 pounds. Directing his comments across social media, Eubank stated:

If Fury vs AJ falls through… I’ll stop dieting, put the extra lbs back on & step up to the plate. Let me know boys.”

Throughout his professional career, Eubank has competed at middleweight and super-middleweight, topping out at 168 pounds. Stepping up to face either Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua would mark his debut in the heavyweight division.

While established heavyweights and cruiserweights continue to be touted as potential backup candidates, Eubank's pitch adds another twist to the high-stakes negotiations.
