NNPCL filling stations reduce fuel price after Dangote Refinery cut

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.

A market survey conducted on Wednesday morning, September 30, showed that NNPCL retail outlets across parts of Abuja and its environs adjusted their pump prices downward to ₦1,370 per litre from the previous rate of ₦1,395 per litre, representing a reduction of ₦25 per litre.

The price adjustment has been implemented at NNPCL stations located in Wuse Zone 6, Zone 4, and Air Junction within the Federal Capital Territory.

The downward review follows recent market adjustments by independent marketers, including MRS filling stations, which lowered their pump prices to ₦1,370 per litre following a ₦25 reduction in the gantry price of petrol by the Dangote Refinery to ₦1,325 per litre.

Meanwhile, international crude oil benchmarks stood at $103 and $90 per barrel for Brent and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) blends, respectively.
