"Many Nigerian men aren't straight. They hide because of social norms" Nigerian dad says

A married man has said that many Nigerian men are not straight.

The US-based dad said that they remain in the closet and hide their s£xuality because of social norms and fear of what people will say.

He wrote on Facebook: "With social media, I’m beginning to realize that many Nigerian men aren’t straight (which is none of my business), but I’m surprised they hide their sexuality because of social norms (what people will say). It’s an interesting find for me."

LGBTQ is still criminalised in Nigeria, causing many members of the community to remain in the closet for their safety.
