A Nigerian marriage therapist, Shamseddin Giwa, has criticised married men who secretly take new wives without informing their first wives.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, he described such behaviour as a cowardly approach.
“This is the cowardly approach that keeps getting many into problems in their homes and then wonder why there is no peace,” he wrote."Unfortunately, the person coming in too will feign ignorance while this is happening and then wonder why she’s not getting accepted.“No, the woman resisting you is not troublesome, you have just not been fair.”
