In a video shared online, Angela said she bought the car with her own money and paid for it in full, questioning why people were telling her to use the money to empower Nigerians.

“I bought my husband the birthday gift, his dream car, with my own money. I didn’t borrow the money from anybody. I paid in full cash,” she said.

She added that she has helped people financially, including paying rent and school fees, but wondered why she was expected to spend her husband’s birthday gift money on public empowerment.

“So I should have used the money as Federal Government? As Federal Government, do I look like a commissioner? Am I a politician?” she asked.
 

Angela urged critics to simply congratulate her husband and move on.
