Actress Sarah Martins has asked relationship expert, Blessing CEO Okoro to first visit the grave of Bimbo Ogbonna, the late wife of her boyfriend, IVD, to seek forgiveness before anyone else.
Earlier today, Blessing shared a tearful video of herself appealing to anyone whom she might have mocked or spoke ill of in the past. Read here.
Reacting to her public appeal, Sarah in an open letter to Blessing, said true repentance should come first from her visit to Bimbo's grave to plead for forgiveness before pleading for forgiveness from anyone else.
Recall that after the tragic death of Bimbo from fire-related injuries in October 2022, Blessing CEO publicly inserted herself into the case, claiming to be IVD's relationship therapist. She defended IVD and launched severe counter-accusations against the late Bimbo and her family. Blessing blamed Bimbo for the incident that led to he demise and went on to claim that Bimbo was violent, broke bottles on IVD's head and had been suicidal since childhood. She further claimed that Bimbo caused her own death. She alleged that IVD tried to save Bimbo by throwing her into a swimming pool to extinguish the flames and that he burned himself in the process. Many found her statement at the time unflattering and called her out for him. She later apologised to Bimbo and her family.

‘’Dear Blessing CEO,
Your apology should begin with a visit to Bimbo’s grave, where you should sincerely seek her forgiveness.
The living may eventually find it in their hearts to forgive you, but mocking someone who is no longer alive and subsequently flaunting her husband crossed a line that was deeply insensitive and absolutely unacceptable. That was taking things far beyond what any genuine apology could easily repair.
After seeking Bimbo’s forgiveness, I sincerely hope you find your way back to God. Go before Him with a genuinely repentant heart, surrender completely, and allow Him to work on the parts of you that need healing and transformation.
The pain you are carrying may be deeper than we can understand, but neither public sympathy nor human forgiveness can replace the peace, healing and redemption that only God can give.
True remorse is not just about saying sorry, it is about acknowledging the depth of the hurt you caused, taking responsibility and demonstrating genuine transformation.
I wish you genuine repentance''
