Rapper Nicki Minaj says 'Trump is still your President' after Democrats' big win in midterm elections

Nicki Minaj has reaffirmed her support for President Donald Trump following Republican losses in Tuesday’s US midterm elections, sharing a series of messages praising him and other prominent figures associated with his administration.

According to TMZ, the rapper posted a 13-point list on X on Wednesday night, highlighting Republican victories despite Democrats regaining control of the House of Representatives and Senate. “Trump is STILL your PRESIDENT,” she wrote, before adding, “The QUEEN is STILL your OBSESSION,” in a reference to herself. Minaj also declared that “Jesus is STILL LORD” and praised Vice President JD Vance for his “great insight”.

She congratulated Florida Governor-elect Byron Donalds and Republican Representative Anna Paulina Luna. However, although Luna had declared victory in her closely contested race, the Associated Press had not called the result at the time of the report. The rapper thanked her fans, known as the Barbz, and urged Republicans to “WAKE UP”.

She accompanied the messages with a short video of herself looking into the camera, responding to criticism of her support for Trump and his Make America Great Again movement. Minaj later expanded the list with two additional posts. She described Elon Musk as a trillionaire and praised Grok, the artificial intelligence assistant available through X, calling it a “phenomenal product”.

Her posts followed an election outcome that handed Democrats control of both chambers of Congress, creating a significant obstacle to Trump’s legislative agenda during the remaining two years of his term. Despite those losses and the criticism directed at her, Minaj’s messages signalled her continued backing for the president and the Republican Party.
