7 out of my 10 female patients battling chronic illness were abandoned by their husbands - Nigerian doctor

One Dr Nkeoma Adikaibe has revealed that 7 out of 10 women battling chronic illnesses she consulted with this week were abandoned by their husbands as their health condition worsened.

She disclosed this in a Facebook post on Thursday, November 5.

Adikaibe noted that one of the hardest parts of living with chronic illness is losing the support of a partner who once promised to stand by one for better for worse.
