Nigerian singer D’Banj has shared a deeply moving social media tribute to his late son, Daniel Oyebanjo III, who tragically drowned in June 2018 at just 13 months old.
Taking to Instagram, the singer posted a collection of cherished photographs with his young son, accompanied by a heartfelt message reflecting on their bond and the impact of the loss.
In the post, D’Banj expressed deep gratitude to Daniel Jr., crediting his late son with teaching him invaluable lessons about life and resilience. He also acknowledged the emotional weight the tragedy has carried for his wife, Lineo, noting that the family has worked hard to find a "safe space" to heal.
The singer voiced his belief that Daniel would be proud of how the family has continued to live their lives fully. Before concluding with a reaffirmation of his eternal love, D'Banj also asked his son to extend a warm greeting to his late uncle Femi.
