Man fatally attacks wife’s lover after finding him in bed with her and their kids

A California husband allegedly fatally attacked his wife’s lover in a fit of rage after coming home early from work and finding the man in his underwear in bed with her, alongside their two young children.

Ismael Pinedalopez, 34, is accused of fatally stabbing Nicholas Garcia, 28, “multiple times” with a pocketknife in the bedroom of his Anaheim home on Oct. 24, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

The couple’s children, a 2-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son, were in the bed during the attack, prosecutors said.

Garcia reportedly died at the scene from his wounds. Pinedalopez’s wife and kids were not harmed.

“Violence is never the answer, and it is truly heartbreaking that these young children had to witness their father commit such a horrific act of brutality in their own home,” District Attorney Todd Spitzer said.

Pinedalopez was arrested at the scene and charged with one felony count of murder and a felony enhancement for personal use of a weapon.

He was arraigned on Tuesday, October 27,  and faces up to 26 years to life in prison if he’s convicted on all charges.
