200-level Sokoto varsity student allegedly drowns in Kwara river while returning from farm
Likpata community in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State has been thrown into mourning following the reported d3ath of Yusuf Salihu, a 200-level Accounting student of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto State.
 
 
It was gathered that Salihu drowned in Egwa River while returning from the farm.
 
 
According to a condolence message shared by a Facebook user, Haruna Likpata, the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, October 11, 2026.
 
 
As of the time of the announcement, the student's body had reportedly not been recovered.
