The Kremlin has reacted to Ukraine's president, Volodimir Zelenskyy's visit to the White House on Wednesday, December 21.
During the visit Zelenskyy received assurances from the US president Joe Biden that it will receive billions of dollars in military aid including the much revered Patriot missile defence systems.
Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov speaking on Thursday, December 22 said neither the US President, Joe Biden nor his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky showed "a potential willingness to listen to Russia's concerns" during Zelensky's historic visit to the United States on Wednesday.
"So far, we can state with regret the fact that neither Biden nor Zelensky has spoken any words that can be perceived as a potential willingness to listen to Russia's concerns,"
At no point was Zelensky issued with a warning "against continuing the barbaric shelling of residential buildings in the settlements of Donbas," said Peskov.
Donbas covers much of eastern Ukraine, and has been the front line of the country’s conflict with Moscow since 2014.
Peskov added that "there were no real calls for peace." But during his address to the US Congress on Wednesday, Zelensky did stress that "we need peace," reiterating the 10-point plan for peace devised by Ukraine.
He also called on US lawmakers to "strengthen sanctions" against Russia to make the country "feel how ruinous its aggression truly is."
Peskov told journalists, however, that Wednesday's meeting showed the US is continuing to wage a proxy war of "indirect fighting" against Russia down "to the last Ukrainian."

And the complaining Russian spokesperson who is so hypocritical is not also addressing Putin’s words in recent days where he stated that the war will not end soon. Russia has continued to destroy critical infrastructures in Ukraine and has a problem with response and defence through any means including getting help from US by Ukraine. Russia moved into Ukraine according to them to demilitarize Ukraine even though it appears that Ukraine is getting more equipped with the same things they planned to disarm them from, when they get tired, they will leave and if they will never get tired then US will continue to fund Ukraine with weapons. When is this going to sink in? As for me, I have made plans and projections for a continued war and it’s impact on the world overall for the next 5 years.
Funny how US and NATO keep claiming higher moral grounds in this war. Last time I checked US has invaded Vietnam, Iraq (2x), Afghanistan and NATO have invaded Libya, Serbia. The reason US and NATO didn't get personally involved in this war is because they both know RUSSIA is a formidable foe and will wreak havoc on NATO countries and the US. Russia has a claim to Ukraine, NATO should never have used Ukraine to go into a proxy war with Russia. The Ukrainian comedian Zelensky is a puppet and a fool. By the time the war is over Ukraine will be totally devasted, lose 20% of its territory (Which it has already). And Russia will still be its neighbor. By the way Europe will get back to buying Russia oil. US can continue to prolong the war at Ukraine's detriment. Ukraine is lucky Russia has dropped more devastating bombs like a Nuke on it (And it's getting close to that).

The war has indirectly is affecting Russia but with their pride they won't admit it, Ukraine on the other hand had been hit with devastating effect both of them is trying to claim last man standing imagine the lives of Russians and Ukrainians lost in the war and the way Ukraine was destroyed the way Russia was hot with sanctions, the way Russia military strength was exposed but sides are crying for help indirectly but they are trying to maintain pride imagine mighty Russia using Iranian drones that tells you both parties are exhausted putin issuing a mass recruitment since world war 2 shows the negatives impact on both parties Putin withdraw your forces to your tenth oh isreal pride goes before a war both sides are at breaking point

It is surprising that with all the effects of this war, Russia still shows a little bit of brotherly love to Ukraine by not engaging with her full strength unlike her son and his mischievous allies. We hope things remains as it is or further deminishes for a path of peace otherwise, If Russia is pushed further against the wall,............
