Certain things should be private but If screaming out on social media gives you peace, by all means do it - Media gal, Morayo Afolabi-Brown advises women

Media gal, Morayo Afolabi-Brown has advised women to scream on social media if it would give them peace. She said this following the backlash Annie Idibia received for taking to her Instagram page to complain about her marital crisis.

Morayo said although she feels that some things have to be kept private but if coming on social media to shout would give women peace, they should by all means please do.

Morayo brown you can do better than this. When has social media become a conflict resolution platform for family/private matters. I just lost my respect for you. Please face forward. At times silence is golden

Bringing a family issue to the public is like pouring igniting it with petro because there are people who would mischievously give you opinions that will further cause more frictions. Not everyone is happy for you. So they would gladly heat up the matter once it's out of your home. But then, we are humans and bound to react differently to pains without even thinking of the after effects.

Please people that still want to continue with their marriages SHOULD NEVER call-out or shame their spouses on social media. It's only when you are done with your marriages that YOU MAY (if you must) go online to call out the other person. If my husband could call me out on social media and have strangers judge and shame me then the marriage has lost hope. Calling me ashawo (as bad as it sounds) in our closet can never be the same with doing such publicly. The truth is that calling your spouses out on social media WILL NEVER AND CANNOT do your marriage any good.

When has telling friends, which men and women do, become a conflict resolution either? Because most friends will take your side and help you feel better even if just temporarily. It’s therapeutic, that’s why people do it. So if SM is your outlet, do. I agree with Morayo for once, though I don’t think this is the position that she took when they discussed this on the show on Friday. The only caution that I will give is that when releasing on SM, be careful not to drag innocent people into it. Don’t lie or embellish because you are hurt. If there are kids involved, consider the impact on them and know that you are ready for it.

Mark my word this woman will end up on the street. Her divorce is knocking... She acts like she want to go out and taste the waters.

Are you sure of what you are saying I will investigate to know if truly comes from your inner mind

Same way saying you don’t trust your husband with your daughter on SM brought you peace.

Thank you Morayo, my thoughts exactly.

When will this woman grow up?

When you brought your family issue on social media that you will not allow your husband to bath your daughter what was the out come of it you later came out to apologize .let be honest to our selves social media has never solved any marital issues rather it will escalate the problem the more .

Somewhat true but the internet never forgets.

Hmmm... Tor, Morayo may have succeeded in convincing some with her post. It depends on the angle you look at it. But, the fact that Tuface has maintained silence in the midst of all... That's golden for me! CCN..

Shut up feminist bitch. Just shut u and quit bleaching that your black pussy.

    1. Anonymous

This is the best that you could come up with? The bearer of the pussy that birthed you, and the handler of the penis which entered it to bring you forth have failed gravely. Grow up and learn some manners outside of those two. Not every woman should be disrespected like your mother was, apparently. May you receive sense.

It is always the need to SHAME the other party that prompts such behaviour - social media isn’t a court of law and feeding the world or your wasapp group on how you’re a VICTIM doesn’t bring you the ahaaaa moment that you seek. No,you are STUPID and should be avoided, including your jobless wasapp group (coven) members who encouraged such rubbish. If you must call out somebody, make sure you aren’t part of the problem and be prepared to end whatever you have with the person. QUALITY people don’t give room for stuffs like this…they discretely walk away with their peace of mind in tact. And if you find yourself in a wasapp group where they are tarnishing or shaming another person,do yourself a favour and get out of it.Otherwise you’re part of the problem too.

    1. Anonymous

Your nose is too far up in the air. Let’s agree without conceding that your definition of quality person is the golden standard, is there any room for those who are on a journey to achieve that golden standard to find peace how best they know? Or would you prefer that they die in silence or of frustration instead? If you don’t want to be shamed, don’t behave shamefully. I don’t consent to character assassination because one is bitter, nut I will never subscribe to imposing on someone else how they should feel and react to mistreatments to “appear” to be of quality IF that’s not how they are wired.

Terrible submission. What is wrong with all these grownups self. You guys don’t have the sense of responsibility of setting good examples for the growing ones that are mostly your followers on social media. Scream on the media right, what about the repercussions? Why is it hard to give moral advices. Most of these so called popular guys on Nigerian media don’t think before they talk, maybe they just don’t have sense

Like somebody said, anyone that comes to social media to call out his or her partner just wants the world to help them flog their spouse. Those that know the koko will find a way to sort out their marital issues. You say a man batters u and u are living in his house and calling him out on SM. Somebody explain the rationale to me

    1. Anonymous

Living in “his” house? I see where your mindset stems from. 1) A marriage with his or her property is more than likely doomed already; 2) men and women call each other out on SM. See, I think people spend way too much time on SM and lay too much emphasis or importance on SM. But I realize and respect that a lot of people see it as their outlet, so it’s unrealistic to gag this people from expressing themselves in what they have come to see as their safe space. Instead, we should ask that people learn to be kinder and have integrity, which I think will affect the quality of their engagements and communications off- and online. Bad behavior is what we see manifest in a lot of these exchanges, and I don’t asking people to pretend to be better behaved when they are not. I should be able to state how your behavior makes me feel without resorting to bitterness or being vengeful, irrespective of the platform.

Morayo...please you have your own ish or you forgot you said you can't allow your husband bath his little daughter on air... you too have no filter...

  15. Anonymous

Brainless Morayo, you are just a fucktard. After calling the person out then what? so after the useful and useless advices that comes from both good and bad what happens next? just tell me how Sm will bring the peace of mind.

  16. Danny

Be careful with social media, it can destroy anything good. Leave your life on a low key.

  17. Patoveli

For your mouth, well can't blame a banana brain like u that went on air to say without mincing words "THAT U CANT ALLOW UR HUSBAND TO BATH UR DAUGHTER"

  18. Anonymous

I don't care what anyone says,..... coming to SM with your private matter does not bring anyform of peace!. They only come for sympathy (which you don't even genuinely get sef), to talk down on the other party, to make people think you are the victim even when you might not be. At the end of the day, you get no Peace! Peace is not just an English word. Ask yourself,.....even when you verbally/ privately fight with your family do you have peace? Talk more of coming to the internet with the fight. And you come out to tell me it gives you peace of mind????

  19. Anonymous

Morayo the Social Media President. your husband go dey fear now say make he no offend you, otherwise you go bring him matter come social media like you did the other time. okan dagba ni, oo danu!

  20. Anonymous

Social media can never give u peace.

  21. Anonymous

This is not good advice. Private means private especially when kids are involved. Sometimes one just has to process things on his /her own and allow God help with the rest.
