The first lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, played host to the first lady of Gambia, Mrs. Fatoumata Ban Barrow and her entourage today August 20.
According to a statement she posted on her social media handles, the Gambian first lady and her entourage were in Nigeria to attend her son's wedding.

President of the Gambia, Adama Barrow has been reported to be a member of the Fula ethnic group, which is the second largest ethnic group in the Gambia (the largest being the Mandinka). He has also been reported to be Mandinka, based on his father's ethnicity, but more identified with Fulas in social and cultural terms. However a local radio interview by Saja Sey with his sister in Bansang confirm that they are Fula. She revealed that their grandfather originated from Futa Toro Senegal. Barrow himself declared in a meeting in Niamina West that he is a Fula. He grew up speaking the Fula language in a village and district that are primarily Fula, and both of his wives are Fula. Fulanis are making move. Remember they are the major Ethnic group in Guinea, and the present very well in Niger, Chad, Parts of Cameroun. They are in large numbers in Senegal and Mali, and are also found in Sudan were they are know as janjaweeds. They are in CAR, where they are busy destroying lives and properties.
