Former Prime Minister of Kenya, Raila Odinga, used Nigeria to crack a corruption joke at a summit in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital yesterday January 26th.
While speaking at the summit, Odinga narrated the story of how a Nigerian Minister of Public Works learnt corruption from his Malaysian counterpart some years back during a visit to the Asian country and then came back to improve on it.
Odinga in his joke implied that corrupt Nigerian government officials use 100% of public funds to build palatial mansions for themselves.

Somebody wrote a petition, it was investigated that the CJN had several accounts and properties which he did not declare.. $3 million, millions of naira, N5 billion worth of property in Abuja... CJN did not deny the findings, he said he forgot to declare it. NJC wanted to suspend him, as chairman of the NJC, he adjourned indefinitely the sitting of the council. Mr. President suspends him, all of una are crying foul... Why won't Nigeria be a joke

Nigeria the capital of corruption. My uncle had to go to Nigeria to audit the Hilton in Nigeria. He was scared as f@#k when he landed. The guys picking him up from the airport came with armed personal for protection and he asked what that was for cause where he comes from there is no need for that. A country where the president travels for months to another country seeking medical care and he has no apologies or shame. Same thing the ministers, governors, etc do. A country that can't easily pay 30k to its civil servants but budgets billions to feed thieves in power. Buhari, Atiku and all the old generations have failed. We need new direction. The level of corruption in the judiciary is such that there is no judge that is clean, all have gigantic skeletons in their cupboards; it just depends on which particular judge you want to destroy then all you have to do is to go and open the cupboard of that judge and boom he will fall yakata. This is the same tactic Obasanjo used for the politicians he brought down during his term as president. If Justice Walter Onnoghen's predecessors had also been investigated they would also have been found wanting, but they are safe because we are in an era of unbridled nepotism. Those who will vote this government for another four year term will seriously regret it when they see the type of nepotism that will be unleashed on the polity but it will be too late for them.
