A northern Nigerian man has reportedly declared that he will not vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, despite receiving two bags of rice and beans from one of the president's supporters.
In the viral video, the man expressed appreciation to the supporter for the food items but insisted that the gesture would not influence his political decision. "I really appreciate him, but I won't vote for Tinubu in the 2027 election. I will vote for the right candidate," the man reportedly said.
The man was seen displaying the bags of rice and beans he allegedly received, stressing that accepting material assistance does not necessarily translate into political loyalty.
His remarks have sparked conversations about voter independence, political generosity and the influence of food distribution on electoral choices ahead of Nigeria's 2027 general election.

Education Reform Return of Schools to Missions: Handed management of mission-established primary and secondary schools back to original owners (churches) while providing government funding and grants for maintenance and staff salaries. WAEC/NECO Academic Performance: Lifted Anambra State’s public examination ranking from 26th nationally in 2006 up to 1st place by 2013 and 2014. Public-Private Partnerships (PPP): Funded major mission-managed facilities (such as St. Charles Borromeo Hospital, Onitsha and St. Joseph Hospital, Adazi-Nnukwu) and supported the establishment of the Joseph Nwilo Heart Centre. 4.
