Retired comrade protests as SANs get 'locked out' of Supreme Court so politicians can have seats

A retired comrade staged a protest at the Supreme Court after several Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs)were allegedly locked out of the venue to reserve seats for politicians.

The senior lawyers had gathered at the apex court to celebrate the commencement of the 2026/2027 legal year and attend the conferment ceremony for the newly appointed SANs.

In a viral video documenting the incident, the comrade showed several senior lawyers standing outside on the staircase leading into the venue. He loudly alleged that these legal practitioners were denied entry so that court officials could secure prime seating for politicians attending the event.
