The NFL has suspended line judge Jeff Seeman for two games and referee Adrian Hill for one game following separate confrontations with players on Sunday, October 4, according to TMZ.
Seeman’s suspension followed an exchange with Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride during a game against the New York Giants. Television cameras captured Seeman yelling, “F*** you!” at McBride twice. McBride, who believed a Giants player had interfered with him, pointed towards the camera and laughed after the exchange.

Hill’s suspension stemmed from an incident during the Miami Dolphins’ game against the Minnesota Vikings. Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon shoved Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson into Hill after play had stopped, knocking the referee to the ground. Wilson attempted to help Hill to his feet, but the referee got up and began yelling and pointing before another official intervened.

The NFL Players Association called for the league to hold officials accountable for their conduct towards players. “This kind of behavior from an official towards a player is unacceptable. Players are consistently held accountable when roles are reversed. We expect the NFL to hold officials to the same standard,” NFLPA Executive Director J.C. Tretter said.
