A man has shared the trauma he and his family suffered when they were robbed over the weekend.
Lawal Joseph Abdul shared photos of the damage done by the robbers in their effort to break into his house on Saturday night, October 17.
In the caption, he wrote: "Last night was one of the most traumatic nights of my life.
"Imagine waking up at 2:00 a.m. to the sound of more than 30 people trying to force their way through your gate. Then, suddenly, they broke through your burglary proof and entered your house with one of the brightest torchlights I have ever seen straight to your eyes.
"At that moment, all I could think about was keeping my family together. I held my phones and other belongings, prepared for the worst, hoping they would take whatever they wanted and spare our lives.
"Since last night, we have all been traumatized. My little son has been moody, refusing to eat or leave my side. He keeps crying, and every loud sound from outside scares him.
"It is heartbreaking to see a little child go through such an experience. Zero security intervention despite operating in more than an hour. It is well.
"We thank God that nobody was hurt and that my family and I are safe. We are physically okay."

In another post, he added: "Imagine a robber asking us to call Police.
"He said 'If you like call Police, nothing will happen'. Nigeria is in serious problem."

There will be no end to this type of situations if we continue to vote in bad and corrupt leaders with no conscience! They live in their mansions and walk around with hundreds of police officers protecting them while the people are without hope. Thank goodness you and your family were spared but the trauma is real. I pray for your healing.

As they say and I believe criminals are fools dem no sabi think properly for what do you expect to find worthy in anyone's home in this present day Nigeria. Only the politicians and executives elected and selected and their close people have it all in this country now and that's less than five million out of 200 million Nigerians
