Nollywood actress and African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate for Abia State, Doris Ogala, has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility.
The development was disclosed by comedian Deeone on Wednesday afternoon, October 28, 2026. Ogala will remain in custody pending the scheduling of her bail hearing.
The legal battle stems from a dispute with her former partner, Pastor Chris Okafor, who dragged her to court over accusations of cyberbullying, harassment, extortion, and spreading false information. The fallout began after Ogala criticized the clergyman on social media following his announcement to marry another woman.
Prior to her remand, Ogala shared a video from the courtroom and raised an alarm, claiming the detention is a politically motivated plot to derail her 2027 governorship ambition.
