I found out he's not what he claims to be - Nigerian woman cancels her wedding 3 days before ceremony

A Nigerian woman, Mary Uzugbo, has cancelled her wedding three days before the ceremony.

Mary and Okoro Peter were initially scheduled to wed on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Mary revealed said she made the difficult decision after discovering that Peter was not ‘who he claimed to be.’

While deeply heartbroken, she emphasized that her mental health must come first.

“Hi everyone, I know you all are preparing for 3rd of October but I cancelled the wedding and all marriage preparation myself because I found out the guy am about to walk down the aisle is not what he claims to be,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

“I am heartbroken because I can never believe such but it's well. On God I stand and my mental health matters a lot before I lose it.”
